Jimmy Law was born in Bloemfontein in 1970 and moved to Cape Town after studying graphic design where he found work as a freelance illustrator.
In 2008, Law decided to focus entirely on his painting and felll in love with the technique of using palette knives.
Law is fascinated by the human face and features, as well as the multitude of expressions and emotions found within a person's eyes.
"Our faces are like landscapes with endless variations and complexities, and I am drawn in to explore this landscape."
